Gear Teeth

Rollstar has the specific know-how and machinery to produce large quantities of internal and external gears.

Gear toothing defines the shape of the toothing of a machine element, in particular in the case of gears. The toothing shapes and tooth flanks are important features of a gearwheel and essentially determine its possible applications. They are selected in such a way that, in the case of toothed wheels, the transmission ratio of the meshing gears always remains the same. The tooth flanks slide against each other as little as possible in order to minimize heating, wear and noise.

Toothing can be external or internal and is differentiated on the basis of the basic shape of the teeth, e.g.:

  • Involute toothing
  • Cycloid toothing
  • Rack and pinion toothing

Internal and external toothing

Rollstar is highly skilled and experienced in the manufacture of interlocking workpieces.

With our machinery, we are able to produce internal and external gears in larger quantities. We can also perform internal gearing in-house and offer this as a service.

1000 kN interior broaching machine

On our 1000 kN interior broaching machine, large and small series can be rapidly toothed within a very short time. The broaching needle is centered in the pre-turned inner contour, then the driven lifting table moves the parts to be toothed upwards. The conical broaching needle makes the desired profile cut by cut.

In addition to our own products, we also tooth specific customer parts with pitch circle diameters of up to approx. 400 mm on our internal broaching machine. We have various broaching needles with common profiles. If the right profile is not included, we will gladly procure a broaching needle adapted to your needs.

In addition to broaching, we tooth all common internal and external gears for you. Have we sparked your interest?Test our promises and get in touch with us.
